Bathing with Therapeutic Salts
The skin is our largest organ of detoxification, but it also acts like a sponge, readily absorbing elements in its immediate environment. When you soak in a warm bath, anything that you add to the water is absorbed into the body. Sea salt is an ideal addition to bath water, because it is full of minerals that are beneficial to human health.

Soaking in sea salts is an extraordinary treatment for common skin conditions such as rashes and acne, and helps our skin defend against microscopic damage that occurs without us even realizing it. When used in a bath, sea salts also draw toxins from the pores in our skin, leaving us feeling radiant, soft, and cleaner than ever before.

Because of the absorbancy of the skin, we recommend that you enjoy your salts as Nature intended--please don't add synthetic coloring agents or of artificial scents. Instead, combine the healing powers of sea salts with high-quality doTERRA essential oils for a profoundly relaxing and therapeutic experience. You will feel truly refreshed and rejuvenated!

Dead Sea Salts (click for more info)

The Dead Sea was formed 2 million years ago and sits at the lowest point of elevation on earth. It is the second saltiest body of water in the world, with 33% salinity (compared to 3% salinity in the world's oceans). For centuries, people have enjoyed the benefits of soaking in these mineral-rich, salt filled waters. Dead Sea Salts contain 21 minerals, including magnesium, calcium, sulphur, bromide, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium. Soaking in water enriched with this salt is known to benefit the body from the inside out, treating skin conditions and improving internal processes.

Himalayan Salt (click for more info)

Himalayan crystal salt is known as the purest salt on earth, having never been exposed to pollution or environmental toxins. Reported to contain 84 elements that naturally occur in the ocean as well as in our bodies, Himalayan salt is revered for its unique crystalline beauty, its medicinal properties, and its taste. The salt from the Himalayas is usually pink or even reddish in color, and is known to balance the body. As a “crystal” salt, it is utilized differently, on a cellular level, from ordinary rock salt. It has been used as an ingredient in baths, body scrubs, drinks, and foods for thousands of years.

Pacific Salt

Harvested off the scenic shores of California, these sea salts from the Pacific are made using the ancient and natural process of slowly evaporating Pacific Sea water to collect its salt. The entire process takes five years from start to finish, and produces a crystal white sea salt. Essential minerals and nutrients in this salt include magnesium, calcium, potassium, bromides, and sodium. It is comparable to Mediterranean sea salt in composition, but much less costly.

Epsom Salt

Epsom Salt is the common name for magnesium sulfate, discovered in the town of Epsom, England centuries ago. Although it looks like salt and is called a salt, it is chemically very different from sodium chloride. As the second most abundant element in human cells, magnesium helps regulate the activity of more than 325 enzymes and is vital to many bodily functions, from muscle control to elimination of toxins. According to the Epsom Salt Council, most North Americans are magnesium deficient, which may explain the high rates of heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, arthritis, and other inflammatory disorders. Adding magnesium sulfate (Epsom Salt) to your bathwater helps to counteract this deficiency. Epsom Salt is easy to find, so we do not sell it by itself.
